OLPH Gym Mission & Policies

This Facility is an extension of the mission of OLPH Church and School. The gymnasium, in particular, is a space to encourage fun, fair play, goodwill and Christian fellowship for all OLPH members.

HOURS OF OPERATION

Summer Hours: Mons - Thurs 5:00pm to 9:00pm

Monday - Friday 7:30am to 9:00am and 4:00pm to 9:00pm
Saturday and Sunday Closed (Except for League Events)
Facility will be closed during Holy Days, Holidays, and Special Church Activities.
Hours may be changed based upon utilization.

NEWS

Silver Foxes meet Mondays , Wednesdays and Fridays at 9:00am in Room 211 near the Gym. If you are interested in attending, call the gym office for more details.

USE OF FACILITY

1. The OLPH Gym and Conditioning Track are open to OLPH members and guests accompanied by a member. A staff member must be on site. Sign-in is required at each visit at the main entrance and a general release form must be on file for everyone who utilizes the facility.

2. Christian conduct is expected at all times. All participants are expected to refrain from foul language and to treat others with dignity and respect.

RULES

1. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult when in the gym, or on the conditioning track. All teams must be accompanied by one or more adult coaches

2. No racing. The walking/jogging track is to be used specifically for conditioning. The rail side (inside) of the track is for jogging and the wall side (outside) is for walking.

3. No athletic equipment is allowed on the track and nothing is to be thrown from or onto the track from the floor. (No balls on the track and no shooting from the track)

4. No dunking allowed. No hanging from the basketball goals or stage curtains.

5. No members are allowed to make adjustments to the goals, curtains or equipment. Facility Staff will assume all responsibility of gym arrangement.

6. No street shoes, cleats, or black-soled shoes on the gym floor or track. Appropriate apparel is required at all times.

7. No food or drink at anytime in the gym or on the walking track.

8. Guests must arrive and leave with parishioner (more than two guests per visit requires approval).

9.No loitering outside the facility.

10. Any situation not covered in these policies will be acted upon at the discretion of the Athletic Director and/or Gym Manager.

Anyone in violation of the rules will be dismissed from the gym and is subject to loss of future privileges.

SCHEDULING THE GYM

1. All sports and recreational activities must be scheduled through the Athletic Director.

2. Scheduled activities have precedence over free play.

3. Any outside use of the facility must have prior approval of the Pastor.

LIABILITY

The use of this facility will be at the risk of the participant.

OLPH, It's Staff and Directors do not assume liability or responsibility for any participant.

OLPH does not make any express or implied warranty of the premises, the equipment, fixtures, or furniture.

Individuals or groups who use the OLPH equipment or property will be financially responsible for equipment that is damaged, lost, destroyed or stolen.
